There are three basic fabrics for Swimsuit: DuPont Lycra, nylon and polyester.

1. DuPont Lycra: it is a kind of artificial elastic fiber with excellent elasticity and stretch. It is suitable for blending with various fibers. It has the advantages of strengthening texture, sagging and wrinkle resistance. DuPont Lycra, which contains chlorine resistant ingredients, will make swimsuits have a longer service life than ordinary swimsuits.

2. Nylon fabric: Although the texture is not as solid as Lycra fabric, its elasticity and softness are comparable with that of Lycra. At present, it is the most commonly used fabric for swimsuit, which is suitable for medium price products.

3. Polyester fabric: one-way, two-way stretch elastic fabric. Due to the limited elasticity, most of them are used in swimming trunks or women's swimming.

Today's racing swimsuits are becoming more and more high-tech. At the Beijing Olympic Games, American "flying fish" Phelps dressed in "shark skin" won 8 gold medals, which shocked the world. This swimsuit designed by world-class swimming brand Speedo is not only avant-garde in style, but also excellent in performance. Its fabric imitates the V-shaped wrinkles of shark skin, reducing the resistance of water by 3%, so that the water around the body can flow more efficiently, and the swimmer can swim quickly like a shark. Unfortunately, this unfair technology was subsequently banned from the game.
