The 2016 Xiamen international fashion week with the theme of“smart Xiamen, fashion power”will be held in Xiamen multi venues from November 5 to 13.

As one of the highlights of this international fashion week, the final and award ceremony of 2016 Chinese fashion design competition will also be held in the fashion center of Longshan Cultural Innovation Park, Siming District, on November 12.

The 2016 Chinese fashion design competition, with the theme of “Shang Shang”, is jointly sponsored by China Fashion Designers Association and the people's Government of Siming District, Xiamen City, and hosted by Xiamen textile and garment trade association. It has won the full support of Xiamen municipal Party committee and municipal government, the whole country and even domestic and foreign brother units. As the central city of Xiamen, an important central city on the west coast of the Straits, Siming District is the economic, political, cultural and financial center of the whole city. Over the past three years, the influence of the competition has been increasing day by day, attracting more than 1200 outstanding fashion designers at home and abroad. At the same time, the competition has realized the "zero distance" benign interaction between excellent talents and Xiamen garment enterprises, which not only promotes fashion designers to connect with the market and grow rapidly, but also reserves talent resources for the development of Xiamen garment industry, and actively promotes the prosperity and development of Xiamen fashion industry.

It is reported that as of September 8, the Organizing Committee of the competition has received 470 excellent clothing design works from different countries and regions such as Asia, Europe and America. The high-level preliminary evaluation panel composed of Liu Yuanfeng, Xiong ZHAOFEI, Wu Xuekai, Wang Yutao and Zeng Fengfei, also passed several rounds of screening on September 17 in Dalian, and finally selected the works of 30 excellent designers. The shortlisted contestants will come to beautiful Xiamen on November 12 to participate in the final PK of 2016 Chinese fashion design competition 。

After three years of accumulation and precipitation, the current Chinese fashion design competition has become more mature and stable. It has set up its own unique label in the industry and attracted much attention in terms of competition specifications, prize money, fair competition, excavation of new elites, and transformation of competition works.

This competition has two characteristics：High standard and high bonus.The competition is open to Chinese fashion designers, college teachers and students, fashion lovers and other outstanding design talents from all over the world, with a wide range of participants. It also invites fashion design masters and industry experts at home and abroad to form a jury with high level of judges. The certificate is issued by China Fashion Designers Association, which is of great importance. At the same time, the gold prize of the competition is 100000 yuan, the silver prize is 50000 yuan, the bronze prize is 30000 yuan, and the shortlisted prize is 3000 yuan, which is one of the highest gold content events in China.

It is worth mentioning that this competition continues the practice of last year, and on the basis of the work defense, it has specially designed the on-site proposition hand-painted clothing effect drawing and on-site proposition three-dimensional tailoring link, so as to better enhance the fairness of the evaluation, and explore the new and cutting-edge design talents with real talent and practical ability.
